Comparison and Evaluation of the New Techniques in the diagnosis of the recent infection of the HIV (CANT-HIV)

The Barcelona 2002 Foundation awarded the CEEISCAT with a grant to develop a new research project in the context of HIV/AIDS within the Public Health discipline (Epidemiology and Prevention) with the objective to carry out a comparative study of the STARHS and the avidity index techniques in the diagnosis of the recent infection of the HIV in collaboration with the “Reparto AIDS e MST” of the Superior Health Institute of Rome.

The general objective of this project is to carry out a comparative study of the two techniques (STARHS and Avidity index) in the diagnosis of the recent infection of the HIV.
